![]() ![]() On June 1, Ubisoft Toronto released a new, free mode for the PC version of the game, Watch Dogs: Legion of the Dead, which pits online players against a zombie horde. The first piece of premium Season Pass content, which launched in early May, included a new mission for the single-player campaign and special playable operative. Post-launch content, both free and premium, was delayed both by development challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic and other glitches and fixes necessary in the main game. 29 for Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox One, with versions for Amazon’s Luna service, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X added later. The Season Pass, $29.99 if you didn’t get it with one of two premium editions in the game’s October 2020 launch, lets players add Aiden Pearce and Wrench to their DedSec Resistance club, whether in the single-player tour or the multiplayer Watch Dogs: Legion Online mode that launched in March. New players will be able to pre-load the game today, September 1. Watch Dogs: Legion - Bloodline is available a la carte for $14.99 to those without the Season Pass. Watch Dogs: Legion is set in a near-future, dystopian version of London. It will also offer several side quests for both characters to complete. Ubisoft’s statement says Bloodline is a prequel to the main campaign of Watch Dogs : Legion. With his job botched, Pearce and his nephew are now on the lam from those who hired him. He’s supposed to infiltrate a Broca Tech lab and steal some cutting edge technology - but Wrench gets the device first and flees. Trying to keep track of the different editions can be challenging. Pearce, according to Ubisoft’s news release, has come to London to reconnect with his nephew, Jackson. Ubisoft has created a variety of different versions of Watch Dogs: Legion beyond the Standard Edition. The story brings back Aiden Pearce from the first Watch Dogs and Wrench from the second as playable characters. Watch Dogs Legion comes to PC, Xbox One, Stadia, and PlayStation 4 on October 29.Watch Dogs: Legion - Bloodline, the story expansion for those who bought the game’s premium season pass, will launch July 6, Ubisoft said on Saturday. It’s safe to say that it will probably be the case, but we’ll keep you in the loop once we know more. Instead of early access, Ubisoft is offering “additional story-based content” as well as the “premium characters and cosmetics from the original pass.” What shape that will take is not known, nor is it clear whether early access will be removed from other Ubisoft titles like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or Far Cry 6. Standard Edition In Watch Dogs Legion, you get to build a resistance from virtually anyone you see as you hack, infiltrate, and fight to take back a near-future London that is facing its downfall. EA and Microsoft have adopted similar approaches too, and early access periods drum up hype for the game ahead of its official release. Its the best way to feel like royalty in London. Gold King Pack includes a Lux Car Skin, Uneasy Lies Mask Skin, and Serpent Sisters Gun Skin. Those who pre-order any of the Legion editions will receive the Gold King Pack. It’s also out of character for the company, because lots of its previous titles have included an extra early access period for a bang for your buck. Youll be delighted to hear that Watch Dogs: Legion pre-order bonus is looking quite luxurious. For those who shelled out for goodies in the dystopian RPG, this might sting a little. Now, all editions of Watch Dogs Legion will launch on 29 October, regardless of the player purchase. To “refine” the experience of these Gold, Ultimate, and Collector’s editions, the three day early access period has been cut out. This edition of the game includes the Season Pass, access to a new game mode, weapons, outfits, missions and the opportunity to play as T-Bone, the legendary hacker in a brand new campaign. Ubisoft no longer doing 3 day early access on its games. Watch Dogs Legion will no longer feature an early access period for the game in any of its premium editions (via GameSpot).
